BRIGHTON FRINGE PUBLIC WORKSHOP
‘DEVISING SHAKESPEARE’
23 MAY 2012, 4-7PM
THE HURLY BURLY, BRIGHTON FRINGE

On 23 May 2012, Fine Chisel Artistic Director Tom Spencer will lead a public workshop to coincide with ‘Midnight at the Boar’s Head’ at the Brighton Fringe.
Open to: theatre makers young and old (15+), actors and directors, writers and Shakespeare enthusiasts, musicians.
‘Devising Shakespeare’ will explore a variety of approaches to playing with classic text, and how Fine Chisel’s handmade, music-driven style can be applied to a range of short texts from Shakespeare’s Complete Works. Fine Chisel musicians will be on hand to improvise throughout the process.
Tom will lead the group through a range of exercises designed to help unpick Shakespeare’s language, before challenging the ensemble to create a brand new devised piece – all in three hours.
It costs a mere £4 to book a place on the workshop. Please book through the Family Fringe ticket site, here.
